The Baudelaire's - Chapter 165

"I am so tired of chasing a dream that will never come true, I think I made a huge mistake."

Avia thinks this all day, every day now. After being in Bridgeport for 3 years she was so close to giving up, luckily she was in the right place at the right time.

Avia: "Maybe a little exercising will help me clear my head, I know this pain is taking my mind off of things."

Avia: "I think I just heard something break!"

Granny: "So, hun, what are you doing in the big city?"
Avia: "Trying to follow some crazy dream, I knew I would never make it, I should just leave and go home."

Granny: "Are you crazy? You have an amazing singing voice, I knew you would make it big the first time I saw you perform, things just take time."
Avia: "I always thought that too but nothing has worked out since I moved here, I've been here for two years now and I haven't gotten anywhere."

Avia and her new found friend talked for hours, the older woman was very wise and gave Avia the hope she needed. It's funny how when you're feeling down and doubting yourself, the universe will send you just what you need.

Avia: "I really enjoyed talking to you, thank you so much for giving me some advice and cheering me up."

Avia: "Would you like to go out for some coffee one day? I would love to be able to talk to you again."

Granny: "Sure! There's this great little coffee place on the corner, we could meet there after you get famous."

Avia: "What if I don't get famous... I want to talk to you again."
Granny: "Don't worry, you will, this is just to give you a little push and motivation."

Avia: "Here's a copy of my cd! I hope you like it."
Granny: "I know I'll love it."

Dream: "Hello, I'm glad to see you're home, I've been waiting on you all day."

Avia: "Where is that voice coming from?!"

Dream: "Meow..."
Avia: "Oh, it's just you, you're such a pretty kitty."

Avia goes to bed every night, hoping for a better tomorrow.

Dream: "What?... she will never know that I lick myself by her head."

A little soccer in the snow... COLD!

Avia: "Tell me about it, it's freezing out here!"

Avia had a big show tonight so she went down to her favorite bar to relax for a few hours, the bartender was a show off.

Bartender: "Stand back, ladies."

Everyone in Bridgeport and neighboring towns showed up for her show, Avia had a feeling she knew who spread her name around for her.

Avia: "Do they like me? I think they like me!"

And on that night all of Avia's dreams came true, she finally made it.

Avia: "Thank you! This has been the best night of my life!"

After her amazing night on the stage ended she decided to go to the bar down the street, there was a cute guy on the stage singing, he invited Avia up to sing with him.

Sometimes I wake up with the sadness

The perfect song to end the perfect night.

Avia and the cute guy gave each other their numbers, had a few drinks and talked for hours. She didn't make it home until late in the morning, Dream couldn't wait for her belly rub.

Avia: "I missed my pretty kitty, how was your day? This was the best day of my life."
Dream: "Meow."

A Few Months Later

Avia: "Ryan, can you come over? I want to talk to you about something."
Avia had a flashback to that horrible day that she broke up with Lucas... her biggest regret.

Ryan: "Hi, honey. What did you want to talk about?"

Ryan: "Or did you not want to talk at all?..."
*Wink Wink*

Avia: "Haha, I really want to talk to you, it's important."

Ryan: "Well, why don't we talk about it over a slow dance?"

Avia didn't wait a minute to tell Ryan what she was thinking.
Avia: "My dream came true, at least I thought that was my dream. I realize now that all along I was chasing something I never wanted, I want to move back home and start a family..."

Ryan: "Wait... what?! You never said you wanted a family!"
Avia: "It's okay, I shouldn't have surprised you with this news. I know we've only been dating about 7 months but I feel like you're the one, the one I want to spend the rest of my life with."

Avia: "So, what do you think? Do you want to be with me on my journey to get married and start a family or is that something you never wanted?"
Ryan: "I love you more than anything, I'll follow you wherever you want to go. So, when do we start packing?!"

Avia couldn't believe it, after struggling and being alone for 3 years she finally made it. She became a singer and met some amazing people along the way but right now she was holding the most amazing guy in her arms, she was about to go home and finally see her family again and start one of her own.

This is her happy beginning.
